Our Doctors use a patient education software known as EyeMaginations which allows our physicians to discuss common ocular problems and educate patients on their condition(s) by using computerized anatomical diagrams, 3D progression animations, and pre-produced videos. Eye conditions and their treatment options become so much easier to understand when you can visualize the problem, it's potential effect on your vision, and the benefits of the treatment!! This software has revolutionized the post-exam discussion portion of our examinations and is state-of-the-art in eyecare.
Infant and Pediatric Exams
Our Doctors are highly trained in examining infants and children. Your child doesn’t even need to be able to read or speak in order for the doctor to prescribe glasses or to diagnose and treat eye and vision problems. In fact, the American Optometric Association recommends your child’s first eye examination be performed by a Doctor of Optometry at six months of age, then re-examined again at age 3, and at age 6 (or before first grade). Yearly eye examinations are recommended after this age.
Our Doctors are participating providers for the InfantSEE program. This program was developed to provide free initial eye exams to infants less than 1 year of age to screen for congenital eye diseases and detect major eye problems as early as possible..

- Astigmatism lenses

Laser Vision Correction
Interested in laser vision correction? At your pre-operative LASIK examination, the Doctor will thoroughly discuss your LASIK procedure, risks, benefits, healing time, expectations, and address any questions you may have. He or she will also ensure you are a candidate for LASIK by performing a series of tests and measurements of your eyes and vision. After your LASIK procedure, the Doctor will examine your eyes and vision at regular intervals to assess healing.
If you have an ocular emergency, or are having symptoms such as flashes of light, an increase in floaters, sudden vision loss, pain, redness, light sensitivity, or discharge, please call our office immediately at (785) 776-9461. Dr. Matt Stanley is on-call most evenings and weekends. Our answering machine will direct you how to reach Dr. Stanley if he is available.
On-Site Eyeglass Laboratory
We understand how valuable time is to our patients. For this reason, we have recently invested in an optical finishing laboratory for our office. This allows us to construct most eyeglass lenses to your specific prescription, using the finest in materials and finishes, and cut them down to the specific frame you choose in a timely manner.
